BE THE LIGHT

A collection of stories from around the world that gives hope, provides strength, and inspires others to share their faith.

MAKENNA K.
Puyallup, WA

"So... my family never grew up knowing God, or following his word. Which puts me in a spot knowing either. When going through junior high I met the most amazing person ever named Emerson Owens, who is still my best friend till this day. She wore a crew neck "Love your Enemies" with a tiger on it and I was confused about the whole thing tbh. So, I asked what it was implying and what it meant so, her and I went on a walk and she brought the Lord into my life that day. Explaining how we are called to love our neighbors, pray for people who may dislike you and overload them with love. I was inspired by that saying and has changed who I am today because of that one day and I have never felt this type of connection with the Lord and so beyond thankful I asked about the saying."
