Prince of Peace

The missing piece, is the Prince of Peace.

The world’s peace is different than the Word’s peace. The peace the world offers is fleeting, short-lived, and completely dependent on circumstances. Meaning it has zero foundation and no guarantees.

God’s peace is connected to His presence. As we abide in Him and walk with His Spirit, peace becomes our portion. Peace is a byproduct of spending time with Him.

“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.” -John 14:17 NLT

I am in no way saying that we will not endure trials or be hard pressed, quite the opposite. But there is a peace that surpasses all understanding. A peace that you can have even when everything else around you is spiraling out of control.

Before I met Jesus, peace for me was more so the absence of chaos. Now I know peace is a Person. A Person that permeates every part of my life, even in the midst of chaos.

When we intentionally choose to turn from worrying about everything, to praying about everything, we enter into the peace of Philippians 4:6-7.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The missing piece, friend, is the Prince of Peace 💙
